První certifikační autorita, a.s. has obtained accreditation for the performance of activities of an accredited certification service provider in accordance with Act 227/2000Zb. on electronic signature as amended (applicable to the Czech Republic) and Act 215/2002 Zz. on electronic signature (applicable to Slovakia). Thus, the most important standards for the activity of an accredited certification service provider were the Act on Electronic Signature and the relevant decrees:

18. 272/2016 Coll., on trust services for electronic transactions in the internal market and on amendment and supplementation of certain acts (Act on trust services) entered into force on 18 October. This Act repeals Act No. 215/2002 Coll., on electronic signature and others, which are listed in Section 19 of Act No. 272/2016 Coll.

On 19 September, Act No. 297/2016 Coll. On trust services for electronic transactions, which was adopted to ensure compliance of the Czech legislation with Regulation (EU) No. 910/2014 of the European Parliament and of the Council on electronic identification and trust services for electronic transactions in the internal market and repealing Directive 1999/93/EC / eIDAS).

This Act repeals Act No. 227/2000 Coll. No. 378/2006 Coll. and No. 212/2012 Coll.

On 1 July 2016, Regulation No. 910/2014 of the European Parliament and of the Council on electronic identification and trust services - abbreviated as the eIDAS Regulation - entered into force. I.CA, as an accredited certification service provider, becomes a qualified trust service provider under the eIDAS Regulation for the service of issuing qualified certificates for electronic signatures.

This Regulation repeals Directive 1999/93/EC of the European Parliament and of the Council.
