In its commercial certificate offer, I.CA also offers certificates for use within SSL communications. SSL certificates provide web site security and authentication up to 10 domain names. The offerings are as follows:

1. Domain-Validated SSL Commercial Certificate (SSL DV)

The certificate is intended only for proving the existence of a certain domain. Commercial certificates for SSL DV may contain the following:

  • Common Name (required) = DNS server name, which is also listed in subjectAlternativeName, see. description below
  • domainComponent (optional) = if specified, all parts of the DNS name must be included from Common Name (for example - DC = ica, DC = cz)
  • Country (optional) = Country code of the entity's residence, now only CZ accepted
  • SubjectAlternativeName extension:
    dnsName (required) = at least one item must be filled in, the first entry must be the same as the Common Name, followed by a maximum of one 2nd order domain (example dnsName = ica.cz, dnsName = www.ica.cz, dnsName = mail .ica.cz)

2. Commercial certificate for SSL Organization-Validation (SSL OV)

Commercial certificates of type SSL OV are designed to demonstrate the existence of a particular domain to which a particular organization is bound. SSL OV certificates may contain the same items as the SSL DV type and the items:
• Organization Name (required) = name of the organization or trademark of the subject verifiable in a trusted manner (eg at or.justice.cz)
• Organization unit Name (optional) = organizational unit
• Country (required) = country code, now only CZ
• street address (optional) = subject street
• postal Code (optional) = postal code of the subject

Completion of one of the items is mandatory, the second becomes optional:
• Locality Name = verified location information (Prague 9)
• Street Address = verified provincial entity information (Central Bohemia Region)
Issuance of these types of commercial certificates requires the prior conclusion of a contractual relationship with I.CA. To obtain a draft of contract, please contact sales@ica.cz After you enter into a contractual relationship, you will get a generator to create an electronic certificate request.
