2. Qualified - COMFORT
Starcos 3.0 chip card belongs to the latest native chip card series provided by a significant company of Giesecke&Devrient. The card provides its user with a vast range of functions and possibilities.

- Protocol support: ISO 7816-3 T=0 and T=1
- Interface support: MS CSP, PKCS 11
The Qualified certificate has been created to meet all current requirements given by legislation, especially by the Electronic signature Act (Act No. 227/2000 on electronic signature and changes of some other acts within the meaning of the Act No.226/2002 Coll). It is especially suitable for communication among citizens, statutory bodies or local government and also for commercial institutions. The qualified certificate is useful for all citizens, authorities and also doctors, lawyers or firms when communicating with the Czech social security office, tax offices, insurance companies, customs etc.
Using the qualified certificate means significant timesaving and flexibility for firms and users (i.e. it is not necessary to deal with the necessary matters within the official opening hours only).
From a technological point of view, the qualified certificate can be used for the following purposes:
creating of electronic signature
verifying of electronic signatures
ensuring the irrecusability of responsibility (connection between the person creating the electronic signature and the document)
How to get the product
The Product is bound to a chip card. When generating an application, private keys are generated onto this card. If you intend to get a Comfort product you must at first order the chip card as you will not be able to continue. First you generate the application to get the certificate and save the file “cert.req” to a flash disk or floppy.
Continue by Visiting the Registration Authority with required documents and install the certificate.
